I've been away for too long.

Hey all,

I've been absent from dA for over two years now, uni and personal issues have kept me away, but I'm planning on being more active now I've sorted myself out.

I have a tonne of messages and notes to go through, so I apologise if you've messaged me about using my stock off-site/in prints and I've not gotten back to you yet. I will be updating my rules to make things easier to deal with on my end and yours, so stay tuned!

It's been awesome coming back and seeing all the wonderful artwork that's been created with my stock, it's definitely made me more motivated to carry on with this account and dA, so thank you to everyone who has used my stock so far and left lovely messages :love:

Contest Update

I've decided that, due to lack of interest, to cancel the contest. I realise there are only a couple of days until the deadline, I should have cancelled it a lot sooner really.

I've decided that everyone who has entered, or was planning to enter and can still hand in an entry before August 1st will recieve 3 exclusive stock packs from me, to say thank you for entering, and a news article feature which will be published on August 1st.

Recent News

I've been super inactive for a few months now. I've had school to deal with, it's my last year of A-Levels and I've just finished my final exam and now I'm free!

I've got a lot of messages and deviations to go through for both my accounts. Luckily I have about three months before I start university so I've got some time.

I've got a lot of photos to sort through, including photos from Brussels, Paris and some photos from last year which I still haven't gotten round to of the Peak District, Portsmouth and the wirral which you might find useful, plus textures, objects and maybe some new portraits. I'll have a look at what I've got and post a poll to see which I should prioritise sorting through.

I also hope to travel a bit during my break, just around the UK and stuff, so if anyone has anywhere they'd like to reccommend please do. I want to do a week solid of travelling where I visit one or two places a day and then travel overnight somewhere else, or stay with a friend in the lake district.

Beasts, Monsters and Daemons Contest

Theme:
The theme is Beasts, Monsters and Daemons, which is quite open. You can look at creatures from a variety of things, including:

:bulletblue: Novels (Classical, Contemporary and Graphic, including manga)
:bulletblue: TV or film
:bulletblue: Own creations

I’m giving you freedom to look at whatever creature(s) inspire you, but you must explain the creature, what ‘attracted’ you to it and credit your inspiration in the artist’s comments. Background stories are wonderful :aww:

Contest Rules
:bulletred: Explain the creature and credit your inspiration in the description of your artwork.
:bulletred: The artwork must be submitted after the start date (1st August 09) and made for the contest.
:bulletred: You must use at least one piece of my stock in your artwork. This must be visible (i.e. not just a colourizing texture)
:bulletred: You must credit all the providers of the stock you use properly, including stock from other stock sites such as sxc.hu and personal stock.
:bulletred: You must not use any copyrighted images in your artwork.
:bulletred: If your artwork contains mature content, please only use a warning mature content or I won't be able to see it.
:bulletred: Please follow my usual stock rules as well as the rules of other stock providers you use.
:bulletred: You must include in the description that your artwork is for this contest. A link back to this journal/my page would be nice.
:bulletred: Prize donators can also enter the contest if they would like, however judges can't.

:star: All entrants will receive an exclusive entry stock :star:

How To Enter
Please send me a note titled 'Contest Entry: Traditional' or 'Contest Entry: Digital', depending on the medium you’ve used, with a link to your artwork.
You should include the name of the exclusive entry stock you want.
One exclusive entry stock per entrant, not entry. I won't ask so it's up to you.
